Golden Eagle Head
by Alan Glasby. Open Edition
9in high
This head and shoulder sculpture was inspired by a half size Golden Eagle commission that Alan did for the Auxiliary Air Force for presentation to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II to commemorate 50 years as Air Commodore in Chief. It certainly has a regal air to it. |

Goshawk (Contact)
by Alan Glasby. Edition of 9 – SOLD
55cm x 59cm (22in x 23in)
This piece was the first bird sculpted by Alan Glasby that was to be cast in bronze. It took 18 months to complete after rigorous research, study and then carving. The first bronze was commissioned by Marconi and was presented to the Sultan of Oman by Prince Andrew. This is one of my favourite pieces and captures the intensity of the hunt brilliantly. |

Kestrel (Wind Hover)
by Andrew Glasby. Edition of 48
68cm x 70cm x 18cm (28in x 26in x 7in)
I have always been fascinated by Kestrels hovering and hunting their prey and so decided that this would be my first major piece to sculpt. It was sculpted from various materials including clay and sculpting putty. It took 4 months to complete, 12 weeks to cast and 3 days to patinate, finish and polish. |

Little Owl
by Alan Glasby. Edition of 48
15cm x 22cm x 12cm
The original woodcarving of this piece was incredibly detailed. Alan used pyrography which is a technique of burning detail into the wood with a heated scalpel. The patination applied complements this and adds to the overall look of this serene sculpture. |

Merlin
by Alan Glasby. Edition of 48
67cm x 41cm (26in x 16in)
The smallest bird of prey in Britain but with a loud voice! Again, this piece is bursting with life and looks like it is ready to take off in an instant. |

Peregrine Head (Closed Beak)
by Alan Glasby. Open Edition
17cm x 15cm (7in x 6in)
This piece was originally sculpted to by cast in silver. Several of these silver pieces were given as presents by the Sultan of Oman to members of his family. Each bronze piece is mounted on driftwood although I am contemplating trying one on a marble plinth. |

Peregrine (I Spy)
by Alan Glasby. Edition of 20
38cm x 26cm x 21cm
Again, Alan has captured an amazing pose. The Peregrine is mantling its kill and spying over its shoulder for a potential threat to its meal. When Alan began his own unique patination, it really brought this piece to life. |

Peregrine Incoming (Large Base)
by Alan Glasby. Edition of 20
62cm x 35cm (25in x 14in)
Birds of prey are both powerful and graceful and this piece has both in abundance. The movement in this piece is truly astonishing. |

Barn Owl
by Andrew Glasby. Edition of 48
In this sculpture I really wanted to capture the serenity and “ghostliness” of this beautiful bird. I sold number 1 in the edition only 4 days after patinating it and it now has a loving home! |
